Stopped by on lunar new year for a quick dumpling snack! We had their soup dumplings and shrimp shu mai. Originally we had our eyes set on a rice noodle roll but they were out- the shrimp shu mai was a great alternative!

Great no-fuss no-frills dim sum spot on a Sunday morning in the middle of Chinatown! There were plenty of standard 4 seat tables and a couple of large tables too. The har gow (shrimp dumpling) and 粽子 (sticky rice dumpling) were pretty tasty -- rice paper wrapped well and sticky rice just stay enough. Everything was priced reasonably too! We had about a dozen dim sum dishes for a total about $20 per person.

The food was excellent. The salt and pepper shrimp was flavorful and crunchy. The pork bun was soft and savory. The shrimp in tofu skin was delicious and rich. The fujian fried rice was huge and yummy! It was San Francisco prices so with tea and before tip was about $55. But the quality was good. You can tell it was good food and a local favorite. So be prepared for it to be crowded and loud. No dim sum carts, but order off dim sum menu. And while the service was fast, it was rushed. So be prepared to wave down service staff. Overall fun and good eats.

Surprised by the negative reviews, I thought the food was pretty tasty and had huge portions. I came here with a big group so we were able to try other dishes. My favorite was the Mongolian Beef, it was some of the most tender beef I've had. I also liked the fried rice, for $16.95 they gave a huge plate and took almost half of it back for leftovers. The menu is huge so there's lots of options for meat and vegetarian dishes. I would recommend coming with a group so you can get a big variety and try different things! I wouldn't come here expecting attentive or friendly service, the focus is definitely more on the food! Would recommend if you're hungry looking for a family style Chinese place.
